A New Dawn

I spent many hours laboring over this The actual painting time didn't take too long - about 9 hours.. but I spent a lot of time moaning over the ship design, the ship perspective, the armour design, etc. In the end, to save myself from lifelong frustration, I took the simple route for both of them. I threw together something crappy for the ship that I'm very unhappy with but I seem to be unable to get it the way I'm imagining it so oh well.

As for the image itself, I wanted to create like a silent moment in the midst of chaos. Kind of a "death is only the beginning" idea combined with the acceptance of what is coming, but also a refusal to surrender. Just imagine her saying something like "Do it, I dare you"
